Winter 2016 and Spring 2017 art created at the Artful Heart Workshop. There is such a variety and each student works on a project of their choosing.

I'm so proud of what my students accomplish. Each student has unique abilities and they are all so talented.

Student Project Example   Shari
Colored Pencil

I think that nearly everything that Shari does is for a family member. They love her work and so do I.

Student Project Example   Doreen
Colored Pencil

The lights of the city, reflecting on the mountains was hard to achieve but Doreen pulled it off. Very nice.

Student Project Example   Kali
Colored Pencil

Growing up in Texas the Bluebonnets have a special place in her heart and she really captured them in this drawing.

Student Project Example   Tina
Oil Painting

The lighthouse is important to Tina and her family's outings. She is getting really good at sky and water. What a delightful painting.

Student Project Example   Cara
Oil Painting

Cara is from Texas and she loves cows. How fun is this? It's a really large painting that will be quite a stunning addition to her new home.

Student Project Example   Jeff
Colored Pencil

Jeff's first colored pencil project. He used pastels for the background and the effect works well.

Student Project Example   Laura
Acrylic Painting

Laura works for the State and this was a Birthday gift for the governor. She really captured him in a contemporary way.

Student Project Example   Carol
Colored Pencil

The personality shines through in every dog that Carol draws. She is so talented.

Student Project Example   Joni
Acrylic Painting

Whimsical and adorable.

Student Project Example   Hanah
Colored Pencil

This is Hanah's very first drawing and she really struggled with the shapes. It is so difficult to see the detail in white. But, it turned out really nice. Good job Hanah.

Student Project Example   Jane
Painting

Jane bought a canvas pre-printed with the bugs and she had so much fun coloring them with markers. Such a fun project.

Student Project Example   Craig
Colored Pencil

What a fabulous gift for Craig's friend. Craig works on a black board and the process is quite different. He's mastered his technique.

Student Project Example   Shari
Colored Pencil

Shari is so funny. She usually hates her project until it is finished. It's often the case because students are so focused on the detail that they lose sight of the entire image.

Student Project Example   Pat
Oil Painting

Pat used a photo that she took on a trip to Spain of this dancer. The colors are beautiful but the photo didn't turn out very well.

Student Project Example   Tina
Oil Painting

Tina wanted to give her grandchildren a special gift and she photographed them both playing soccer. She hates doing faces, so she choose to have them in profile.

Student Project Example   Tina
Oil Painting

These two paintings are so full of life and movement. Tina really captured them both and they look wonderful together.

Student Project Example   Cara
Oil Painting

This is Cara's first home and her first oil painting. She did a wonderful job. Way to go Cara.

Student Project Example   Carol
Colored Pencil

Just one more of Carol's fabulous dogs. This one has a watercolor background. Her dogs are usually gifts or commissions.

Student Project Example   Craig
Colored Pencil

Craig creates amazing gifts for his friends. His specialty is animals but he manages people very well too.

Student Project Example   Chrysalis
Drawing

Chrysalis loves unusual images. This bat was done with ink. There is texture and shading using different strokes. How fun!
