Spring 2011 - fun new projects, Hogle Zoo Wildlife Art Show artists and all of the latest and the greatest art from the Artful Heart Workshop.

Lots of new colored pencil, acrylic, oil and clay works of art. I'm so proud of my talented club members.

Student Project Example   Carol
Colored Pencil

Four of my artists had their work juried onto the Hogle Zoo Art Show. This is a difficult show to get accepted into. Carol deserves to be very proud.

Student Project Example   Joan
Colored Pencil

It's hard to see the wood-pecker but it is beautiful. The show is always fun to attend and view all of the art and photography.

Student Project Example   Carol
Colored Pencil

Farley, has had a rough life. Carol drew this as a Birthday gift for his Mom who gives so much to dog rescue. Carol did an amazing job.

Student Project Example   Tyler
Youth Sculpting

Tyler had all three of his sculpting entries accepted and they all sold. What an honor. Way to go Tyler!

Student Project Example   Laura
Acrylic Painting

Laura choose this image of hand made ceramic glasses to paint. It is very colorful and interesting.

Student Project Example   Stacey
Oil Painting

Stacey's young daughter loves dragons so Stacey painted this for her room. It is far more colorful than the photo and beautiful.

Student Project Example   Todd
Acrylic Painting

Todd painting this from a photograph of himself on a dive trip. There is so much detail and it was lots of work, but well work the effort. What a beautiful reminder of a great time!

Student Project Example   Becky
Acrylic Painting

This is a huge painting that Becky managed to complete really fast. Becky has fun with her painting and has unusual taste in her subject matter. How fun is this?

Student Project Example   Ruth
Acrylic Painting

Ruth wanted to do a painting to express her feeling from past to present and her struggle to happiness. You really understand her journey.

Student Project Example   Jan (Teach)
Mosaic Tile

Occasionally I like to include one of my projects too. We'll start mosaics again soon, now that the weather is improving.

Student Project Example   Tyler
Youth Sculpting

How cute it this? Tyler just keeps outdoing himself. The form and structure of this giraffe is really well done. Tyler just turned 16 and he is also an accomplished athlete and honors student.

Student Project Example   Claire
Youth Oil Painting

Claire is a 17 year old who has an amazing ability with oil. She worked with Colored Pencil for several years and did wonderful work, but her ability with oil is astounding. I doubt that she will ever quit.

Student Project Example   Gabby
Youth Sculpting

This is Gabby's very first project. She just turned 11 and the rabbit is adorable. She is just exploring different mediums and having fun.

Student Project Example   Atticus
Youth Sculpting

Atticus, age 12, has been working in Colored Pencil and decided to try his hand at clay. This is his first project and it turned out very well. Good job Atticus!

Student Project Example   Tyler
Youth Sculpting

The lizard is another of Tyler's adorable critters. Clay is what Tyler loves and he isn't afraid to try anything.

Student Project Example   Nina
Youth Colored Pencil

10 year old Nina is a new member and this is her first project. She did a great job with both drawing and coloring this duck.

Student Project Example   Dani
Youth Oil Painting

I still can't believe that a 14 year old did this. The flesh tones are so difficult to paint and Dani did so well. Wonderful.

Student Project Example   Erinn
Youth Drawing

Erinn is really becoming highly skilled and she chooses really difficult projects. Amazing work for a 17 year old. The color didn't photograph well.
