Winter 2010/2011 and the wonderful art just keeps getting better. There is a huge variety in Colored Pencil, Oil, Acrylic and Clay. Some artists are preparing for upcoming Art Shows.

The artists keep trying new things and mediums that they have never used before, with great success.

Student Project Example   Jan
Mosaic Garden Orb

We had a great time making garden orbs. Fair warning if you want to make one, they are a huge amount of work.

Student Project Example   Darlene
Colored Pencil

White subjects are the most difficult. There are so many subtle colors and Darlene managed to capture all of them. She has created a beautiful series of flowers that are shown on other pages.

Student Project Example   Kaye
Colored Pencil

Kaye just finished this drawing of another of her Granddaughters. It is extremely difficult to capture the image of someone that you are close to. She worked so hard and it paid off.

Student Project Example   Carol
Colored Pencil

Wow! This commissioned drawing caused Carol serious grief. The paper was inferior and she started over four times. But, the end result was well worth the effort. The client will get it in February 2011

Student Project Example   Carol
Colored Pencil

Carol had many challenges with this large drawing but it finally came together and turned out really well. She photographed the Wallaby on a trip 'down under'.

Student Project Example   Joan
Acrylic Painting

What a fun onion! Joan just has a good time and creates loose and fun images.

Student Project Example   Susan
Colored Pencil

Susan's son took the photo that she worked from. This was so difficult and Susan has a lot to be proud of. What a challenge!

Student Project Example   Sally
Oil Painting

Sally combined several photos that were taken on a trip to Europe for her very first oil painting. It was a beautiful Christmas gift for her husband.

Student Project Example   Laura
Acrylic Painting

Laura photographed this door during a recent trip to China. She decided to use it to paint from. The textures are very interesting and there are many unusual shapes and colors.

Student Project Example   Shari
Colored Pencil

This is the second project for Shari and it is really colorful and interesting. The photo doesn't do it justice. There are so many subtle colors in the wall and the ladder.

Student Project Example   Atticus
Youth Colored Pencil

This frog was really difficult but Atticus stuck with it and it turned out great. It didn't photograph very well though. Atticus used pastels for the background.

Student Project Example   Emma
Youth Colored Pencil

Emma's brother and his girlfriend are the subject in this drawing that Emma gave her brother for Christmas. Emma is so good with colored pencils. She makes it look very easy.

Student Project Example   Dani
Youth Oil Painting

Dani just finished this bear in time to give it to her teacher for Christmas 2010. It is really well done.

Student Project Example   Tyler
Youth Sculpting

Tyler is getting really good with his sculpting. He just turned 16 and is a terrific young man.
