Wonderful, supportive and open-minded people fill my groups! Enjoy individual work stations. Beginners see amazing results on their very first project. Experienced artists learn new skills and enhance existing skills. Overcome your fears and let me show you that you can excel. My job is to help you do great work with tons of support from everyone!

Most of my club members were beginners, when they first joined the Artful Heart Center, who had never held a paint brush or worked with pencils, clay, etc. I'm not the kind of art mentor who paints or draws on a someone's project, unless they ask me to. What you complete is your own work. I give instruction and keep a close eye on everyone.

Many of my club members never, in their wildest dreams, thought that they could accomplish what they have created. Just look at their amazing work, on the 'Students Projects' pages. Their awards are really amazing too!

Groups are small, usually 5-7 people. People can move to a different group when an opening arises or their schedule changes.

Winter 2012

All new members are asked to pay a $50 non-refundable deposit to reserve your space in a group. This is applied to your first months fees. My job is to make you a successful artist, your job is to be serious and keep your commitment.

BASIC DRAWING, COLORED PENCIL, ACRYLIC & OIL PAINTING & CLAY SCULPTING

Many of my groups are full but people occasionally move, have life changes or shift to another group when an opening comes up. If I know that you want to join a particular class, then you will get first choice. Just let me know! Many of my classes are never filled to capacity so that there are always times for make-up's for everyone.

Saturday: 10:00-12:00 Adult Colored Pencil & Painting - Full*

Saturday: 1:00 - 2:30 Mature kids and Adults. Drawing, Painting and Sculpting - This group has evolved into a 'cool' adult and amazingly bright, talented and really nice kids class. Age 14 and up.

Monday: 4:00 - 5:30 Adults and Mature kids -Age 14 and up. You can't imagine nicer people or more dedicated workers. Sure, most of the kids whine a bit, but I make sure that they feel great about what they create and then they go on to win awards and make me look great!

Monday: 6:00 - 7:30 Adult Colored Pencil, Oil and Acrylic Painting - Adults, both beginner and advanced enjoy working with colored pencils, paint or clay - Room for one more.

Wednesday: 3:30 - 5:00 Adult Drawing, Painting & Sculpting. This class is doing a variety of exciting projects and there are mostly new students in this class. There will be a new opening in mid-November for someone new.

Wednesday: 5:30 - 7:00 Adult Sculpting, Colored Pencil & Painting. This super fun group is always trying something new and creating great art. Painting spaces are full but drawing and sculpting are an option.

Friday: 10:00 - 11:30 Adult Colored Pencil & Painting - This is mainly an adult Colored Pencil and Drawing group but there are those who paint too - There is space for another painter.

I am thinking about starting another class. It would most likely be on Friday afternoon, Friday evening or Wednesday morning. Please let me know if you would be interested. Get a group of friends together and come and create. You can't imagine how much fun you will have.

Beginning 1/1/12 club groups increase to $30 each ($120 for four weeks and $150 for five weeks depending on the number of classes each month.) Payment is due at the first class of each month. Members are accepted on a first come basis and 'own their space' until they choose to quit. Some artists have been with the Artful Heart Center for over 15 years.

I request that at least two weeks notice be given if you need to leave or drop a class, to allow time for me to contact someone on the waiting list and/or post the opening on my web site. Please honor this!

Make-up times are available for everyone. An Artful Heart Center Policy information sheet, that discusses make-ups, Holidays, etc., will be sent to each interested person, and acceptance of the policy is required.

The Artful Heart Center is located in the center of Salt Lake City in Sugarhouse, with really easy freeway access. Click on the 'contact' link and email me if you have questions. You are welcome to come and check out the workshop and visit a group before you join. The right 'fit' in each group, is vital to everyone.
